Welcome to the Commuters Dream!
Gran Prix Stripes

If you haven't had a chance to talk with Doug or myself you may not know that we're big single speed fans, especially when it comes to commuter bikes. In all weather conditions, on or off the road, their simplicity means that single speeds are the reliability kings.

The "SOHO S", pictured above, features horizontal rear dropout for easy chain tensioning and a flip flop rear hub for a fixie(fixed wheel) setup or freewheel (clucthed) setup. Both the freewheel and the fixed cog come already fitted to the hub.The hubs and seat clamp are both bolt up, to help ward off theives. The front and rear road brake calipers, and flat handlebar brake levers, make it very effective at tearing off speed in all conditions.

Weighing in at 9.65kg complete, this is a very light commuter bike that, with a few minor upgrades, could be much lighter again (I think many people would pull off the stock chunky platform pedals in favour of a much lighter clip in system).

The thing that surprised me most about this bike, aside from the brilliant ride, was the price. For a complete bike, ready to ride and quality parts, that would allow you to ride to work every day without concern of failure or things wearing out too quickly, this bike is the perfect solution.

If you have any other questions you can either check out the SOHO S specification page in our products section or of course give us a call, we are here every day.

A small amendment, on initial inspection of the bike I failed to realise that the SOHO S also features sealed bearing hubs front and rear.
