Y50
Doug's beautifully restored TREK Y50

You may have heard Doug or myself rattling on about Trek Y bikes in the shop before, or if you have been on one of our social rides you may have even had the privilege of seeing one.

These bikes were made by TREK in the mid 1990's roughly from '95 to '99, in alloy version's (not so desirable) and carbon framed bikes (very very desirable).

It all started with Doug's Y11, an early bike from the series. After I was lent the bike for a ride, I realised that Doug's constant talk about the potential of these bikes to be fast and a whole lot of fun to ride was actually quite true. The hunt was on, and I finally found a late Y33 in original condition.

This year we've had two more Y Bikes join the family. Doug, in his quest for more bling bikes, found an early Y33 and built her up as a super bling geared bike. More recently our good friend Andy B, after falling into the same trap as me riding Doug's Y11, realised he wanted one too and found himself a Y22. After a little work here at the shop it's turned out to be another beautiful specimen.

If you know anyone who has one we are really keen to expand the family again. So don't hesitate to give us a call and let us know.

Cheers
